50 years ago, my mama almost became a famous movie star, but she had me and my six brothers and sisters. One morning, sitting in our trailer, mama got real quiet and stared at me for a long time. She said, "Mary Beth, you could be a rich and famous model." With that, she loaded everybody up and we drove to the beach. I didn't believe her at first, but after a few poses I started thinking, "could I be a star?"
